so we kept quiet in march … we need to be extra special with this one …
** gig related news**
PSEUDO NIPPON announced recently that their line-up is about to change … it goes as thus says so right ere >
“SAD SAD NEWS. Colden Drystone PN drummer is leaving us to follow his own burning egg quest.
A new era awaits Pseudo Nippon. The rest of us are planning to write a musical.”. Our next single Strangeways will be the last thing we have all done together and the tape will be packaged in Coldens performance clothes, its out on April 20th through Tigertrap.”
so this will be their last London performance as we know them!! …
and so here … the bands >>>>

pseudo nippon’s album has consumed a vast amount of my listening time for quite some time, naturally we have to have them play, so thankfully after a few months ffing around, on my part i’ll add, we get to put them on up there at the urban bar … the album i’m talking about is COLORAMA, their latest release on tigertrap records, released november 2012, it’s full of wonderful twists and turns, it’s glitchy and up beat, it’s pretty easy on the ear, nothing to heavy kinda deal, but loads to keep you coming back for another listen, i can definitely say its infectious and a nice change for me personally. originally pseudo nippon was a 1 man show, but now budding, growing and ever changing … i’m hearing that they’re now due for a further rearrangement as one of the existing drummer is flying south or north or just somewhere where they aren’t going … so i look forward to catching one of their last performances as their current line-up on the 5th and i also look forward to the next stage in the evolutionary process of whats fast becoming a favourite of mine, yay for pseudo nippon!

i first heard about MXLX through ZAMZAMREC, who were behind his 2012 tape release titled “SUPER RACKET GO ZONE!” … since then i’ve learned that mxlx aka Matt Loveridge spends his life balancing a zillion projects, which consists of roughly around 3 or 4 solo projects, maybe more maybe less hey even he loses count of what he’s doing, done and meant to be doing, busy touring as 1 3rd of BEAK, putting on shows and playing under 1 of many guises, its hard to get him nailed to a date to come play, but now we have him firmly in our sites!! … i’ve only seen him play live once before and witnessed plenty of vocal manipulations, overlapping effects, a clarinet and plenty of harsh noise … that was until the p.a. blew up … who knows what he’ll come armed with this time … one thing i do know is that i can’t fucking wait to find out!!!!

SHITWIFE are a brand spanker of a band, nothing released, only a handful of months playing together under their belts, tight belts at that, cos i think this is gonna be fucking huge … heavy hitter on the breakcore scene, mr ladyscraper teams up with the off kilter drum beater of well known SHIELD YOUR EYES. this is their debut gig … so how fucking lucky does that make us? very lucky of course!! i would say leaning more towards ladyscraper fans, but keep an open mind, fast paced, gabber-ish, heavy as fuck and what a pleasant name!! … 2 videos streaming on youtube of a couple of live rehearsal recordings, go check em, but seriously … come and witness it in the flesh, is there really any better way? NO!!! SO FUCKING COME THEN!!!
